About the Weather House
This is David's own station: a backyard setup measuring temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, rainfall, UV and solar radiation, reporting every five minutes. "Feels like" uses the heat index in hot conditions and wind chill in cold ones.
Because it's a single station at one spot, it reflects conditions right there, which is exactly what makes it useful for watching a front, a wind shift, or a rain band arrive in real time. It's not a substitute for official observations. For watches, warnings, and anything safety related, that authority stays with theNational Weather Service. See the Terms & Conditions.
